When I was young and dating, (do people really date any more?) anyway, I would occasionally give my date a corsage–and when I did, it was always an orchid. And why not? They were beautiful, and always appreciated.
Well, I’m giving more orchids, but this time in the form of my novel, Blood on the Orchid. It will be free on Amazon’s Kindle Select program, all of Valentine’s Day. I hope many will take advantage. It’s also free to all Amazon Prime members through early April.
Savannah is hosting her fifth annual Book Festival, starting the day after Valentine’s, and going through the weekend. They have a great lineup of authors, including Brad Thor, Full Black and Stephen King, 11/22/63. I’m not really a King fan, although I’ve enjoyed some of the movies done from his books. Pat Conroy, one of Savannah’s own will be the Keynote speaker and will sign his latest book, My Reading Life. Forty authors will be participating, and many of the events will be free, but not King and Thor, of course.
If you’re within shouting distance, it will be a good way to spend some time. I’m looking forward to it.
Later,
Harris
ps: Don’t forget your Orchid!
